Lemke, Theodore H. (18 AUG 1882 - 24 DEC 1964)
Funeral services for
Theodore Henry Lemke, Milan, were held Monday afternoon, Dec. 28, at the
Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Milan. Burial was made in the Stetsonville Lutheran
Cemetery. The Rev. F. Timler officiated. The body lay in state at the Lulloff
Funeral Home, Colby from Sunday morning until late Monday morning.
Mr.
Lemke died at the age of 82 at the Memorial Hospital in Wausau on Thursday, Dec.
24, 1964.
Theodore H. Lemke was born Aug. 18, 1882, at Morrison, Wis. He
settled on a farm in Goodrich in 1904. In 1926 he married the former Ida Kanitz,
and in 1946 the couple moved to a farm near Milan (Marathon Co., Wis.). They
farmed there until their retirement in 1958. He was a member of Bethlehem
Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his widow, who is now living at Mt.
View Sanitarium at Wausau; four brothers, Benjamin of Goodrich, Richard of Iron
Mountain, and Mitch and Edwin Lemke of Wauwatosa; and one sister, Mrs. Ed Lemke
of Goodrich.
Mr. Lemke was preceded in death by three sisters and one
brother.
