Beawer, Carl W. (28 SEP 1899 - 28 DEC 1964)
A former Colby resident, Carl Walter Beawer, died at a Gary, Ind. Hospital
Monday, Dec. 28, 1964. He had been ill for several years.
Mr. Beawer, who
was born in Colby Sept. 28, 1899, owned his own construction company at Gary for
the past 20 years.
He served in the U.S. Army in World War I, enlisting
in 1917. In June 1941 he was married at East Chicago, Ill., to the former Emily
Hayda, who survives him.
Also surviving are one adopted son, Robert; his
mother, Mrs. Robert Beawer of Milwaukee; and three brothers and three sisters,
Mrs. Henry Schauss and William Beawer of Colby, Mrs. Gust Plaski of Elkridge,
Maryland and the Rev. Arnold Beawer of Hamburg, Fred Beawer of Seattle, and Mrs.
Dave Aaron of Milwaukee.
He was preceded in death by his father, three
sisters and one brother.
