William H. Voss,
89, formerly of the Colby and Unity area, died on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1965, at 4
a.m. at the Bethel Convalescent Home, Arpin, where he had been a patient for the
past one and one-half years.
Funeral services were held Saturday
afternoon at 1:30 at the Hansen Funeral Home at Marshfield with the Rev. Douglas
P. Oyan officiating.
Six nephews served as pallbearers for the interment,
which was made in Hillside Cemetery. They were Ed Voss of Abbotsford, Earl and
Edgar Voss of Brillion, Otto and Herman of Chilton, and Herb Falck of
Hortonville.
William H. Voss was born Aug. 25, 1875 in the town of
Rantol, near New Holstein, Wis. His marriage to Nettie Nelson took place Dec.
19, 1899, in Marshfield.
After their marriage they farmed for a time west
of Marshfield and then moved to a farm east of Colby, where they were for 18
years. They then made their home in Waupaca until the death of Mrs. Voss, Dec.
5, 1955, after which Mr. Voss made his home with his niece, Mrs. Ted Dommer, at
Unity. A year and a half ago he went to the Bethel Convalescent Home.
He
is survived by two brothers, Gust Voss of Abbotsford, and George Voss of
Brillion, and a sister, Mrs. Elmer (Alvina) Falck of Hortonville.
Three
brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

who attended the funeral were Gust Voss, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Voss, and Lannie Voss,
of Abbotsford, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Quante of Medford, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Greaser
of Abbotsford, and Mr. and Mrs. ted Dommer of Unity.
