Sherwood (16 October 1969)

The Sherwood Town hall, which was decorated in green and white, was the scene of a bridal shower Saturday evening in honor of Miss Shirley Coulthard. Prizes at games were won by Norris Kane, Jean Schwanebeck, Marlene Freedlund and Vivian Jacobson. Jean Schwanebeck also won the door prize and Olive Kane won the bride’s gift. A lunch was served by the hostesses, Mrs. Donna Freedlund, Mrs. Lois Freedlund, Mrs. Doris Schwanebeck, Mrs. Pat Coulthard, Miss Carol Coulthard and Miss Judy Coulthard.

Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Schwanebeck entertained Sunday in honor of the 14th birthday of their daughter, Vicki. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hasz and family of Lynn, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Dickson, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Schmidt and family of Pittsville. Donna Jean Zoellnor and Sheila Urban were overnight guests.

Joe Jacobson returned home Saturday after having been hospitalized with pneumonia.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Butz of Milwaukee called at the Ardo Fluegel home Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Dean Nelson of Alma Center were guests Sunday at the Francis Jacobson home.

Miss Marlene Freedlund and Miss Patsy Schwanebeck called at the Bennie Heck home in Christie Sunday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Schwanebeck and family and Mr. and Mrs. Ardo Fluegel had a picnic dinner at Parrott State Park near La Crosse Sunday.

The Birthday club will meet Thursday at the home of Mrs. Ardo Fluegel.

The Pittsville band marched in the parade at Medford Sunday for the mink festival. Several children from Sherwood attended.
