Mr. and Mrs. John Pacholke of Cable, formerly of the
Colby area, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Sunday, April 19, at the
home of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Pacholke at Cable.
The former Marie Fuhrmann and John Pacholke were married
at Colby April 22, 1914. For a time
they farmed in the Colby area and then moved to Colby and operated a tavern.
About 18 years ago they moved to Cranberry Lake at Cable, Wis.
The Pacholkes have two children, a son, Herbert, at
Cable, and a daughter, Mrs. Rudy Fults, Abbotsford.
There are five grand children and two great grand children.
Mrs. Pacholke has four living sisters: Mrs. Richard
Goldschmidt of Colby, Mrs. Herman Ungrecht of Caledonia, Mrs. Jean Thiel of
Saratoga, Wyo., and Mrs. Tillie Helm of Coos Bay, Ore., and one brother, Albert
Fuhrmann, of Butternut.
Mr. Pacholke as six living sisters: Miss Tillie Pacholke,
Mrs. Charles (Emma) Henne, Mrs. Bertha Young and Mrs. Minnie Witt, all of Colby,
Mrs. Anna Streckert of Sheboygan and Mrs. Amelia Amundson of Green Bay; and four
brothers: Fred Pacholke and Ed Pacholke of Abbotsford, Howard Pacholke of Sauk
City and Louis Pacholke of Butternut.
Relatives who attened the golden wedding celebration from
the Abbotsford and Colby area were Mrs. Rudy Fults and Gerald, Mr. and Mrs. Ed
Pacholke, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pacholke, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Goldschmidt, Mr. and
Mrs. Gordon Knight and Cindy and Allen.
Others present were Mr. and Mrs. Herman Ungrecht of Caledonia, Mr. and Mrs Louis Pacholke of Butternut, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Beuhon, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wiedenhoeft and Mr. and Mrs. Art Hartman, all of Cable.
