Mr. and Mrs. Fred Foemmel went to
Stratford Saturday for a several days visit.
Mr. Herman who has been visiting
the Foemmel’s here returned home to Stratford Saturday.
Mrs. Herman Smith attended the
ladies aid at York Center last week Wednesday.
Mrs. Lou Hayden gave her husband
a surprise part last week Thursday evening in honor of his birthday and everyone
seemed to be having the best time ever when all at once little Ralph Winn,
Clifford Winn’s oldest boy, fell and broke one of the bones in his leg between
the knee and ankle. Dr. Ross was
called in and the little fellow made as comfortable as possible in a short time.
At present he is doing nicely.
Joe Krause and family spent
Saturday evening at Ed Ackerman’s.
Alfred Johnson attended a meeting
of the cheese board at Granton Saturday.
John Pietenpol and family
Sundayed at Henry Pietenpol’s
Mr. and Mrs. Spiser of Lynn and
John Hefty Sr. and family spent Sunday evening at Geo. Frei’s.
F.W. Davis and N.E. Lee spent
Sunday afternoon at Truman Davis’.
Herman Smith and family visited
relatives in Shortville Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Frei and
daughter did shopping in Neillsville last Friday.
Mrs. John Pietenpol spent Sunday
night with Mrs. Melvina Wright and took the early freight to Neillsville where
she is having dental work done.
The Mesdames Ackerman and Hefty
visited Mrs. Frei Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Myron Osgood
entertained about a dozen and a half of their neighbors at a card party Monday
evening. Although the sleighing was
rather thin, Myron conveyed the people from their homes in a big sleigh.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Foemmel and Mrs.
Johnson drove down and took dinner with Mrs. Foemmel’s father on Monday and then
continued on their way to Neillsville.
Vic and Tom Krejci are home from
Adolph Foemmel’s near Chili where they have been at work cutting wood.
Herman Roehl and family of Chili
Sundayed at Ed Ackerman’s.
The Windfall birthday club met
with Mrs. Alfred Johnson Friday, March 13th and helped her celebrate
her birthday by tying off some quilts.
Lila Davis entertained about a
dozen little school mates last Saturday in honor of her seventh birthday.
