Shupe, Donald #3
(27 OCT 1926 – 08 SEP 1965)
Funeral services were held Saturday, September 11 at St. Anthony’s Church, Loyal
for Donald Shupe, 38, Loyal who died in a single truck accident at the northern
approach to the Yellow River Bridge on Highway 13, about 4 ½ miles south of
Marshfield on Wednesday morning, September 8.
The Rev. Norbert E. King officiated at the 10 a.m. services and burial
was made in the parish cemetery.
Pallbearers were Edward Fry, Garland Bentzler, Donald Beaver, Gerald Braun,
George Hammond, and Ronald Hansen.
Mr. Shupe was born October 27, 1926 at Loyal, and at the age of 17 went to
Milwaukee, where he was employed.
His marriage to Mary Babich took place December 1, 1945, at West Allis.
In 1946 they moved to Loyal, where he was engaged in the trucking
business.
He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal.
Mr. Shupe is survived in addition to his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Vaughn
(Sharon) Seeman, Kenosha; and Shelly at home; a son, Michael, at home; his
mother, Mrs. Verna Shupe, Loyal; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Ed Domine,
Loyal; three brothers, Edward and Jerome of Loyal and Lawrence of Cheyenne,
Wyoming; two sisters, Mrs. Richard (Evelyn) Syth, Loyal; and Mrs. Ann Primic,
Greenwood; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1962 and a sister.
