Berger, Diane R. (Marriage - 8 November 1969)

Miss Diane R. Berger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence J. Berger of Rt. 1 Elk Mound, was given in marriage by her father to Michael G. Krultz of Appleton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Krultz of Neillsville, Saturday, at 1;30 ;p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Elk Mound. The Rev. Matthew Malnar of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at Athens, and uncle of the groom, performed the double ring ceremony before 150 guests. Bright pink and white flowers decorated the church.

For her wedding the bride chose a floor-length bridal gown of Chantilly lace, fashioned with long, tapered sleeves and a sculptured neckline. Tiers of lace ruffles encircled the bouffant skirt, sweeping into a chapel-length train. A petal cluster secured her bouffant veil of sheer bridal illusion. She carried a cascade arrangement of bright pink roses and white ‘mums.

Mrs. Marlys Wicklund of Fall Creek served her sister as matron-of-honor. Mary Roblee was bridesmaid. They wore floor-length gowns of bright pink brocade, styled with empire waists and long sleeves that tapered at the wrists. They carried bouquets of large white ‘mums.

Daryl Braatz of Neillsville was bestman and Dan Berger, brother of the bride who is on furlough from Hawaii, served as groomsman. Bob Krultz, brother of the groom, and John Berger, brother of the bride, ushered.

Donnie Zukowski, nephew of the groom, was ringbearer; and Karen Berger, sister of the bride, was flowergirl. She wore a floor-length gown of white brocade and carried pink and white ‘mums.

Vocalists were Phillip Knutson and LuVonne Sneen.

A wedding dinner was served in the church parlors followed by a reception at the home of the bride’s parents, with pink and white decorations throughout. Saturday evening a wedding dance was held at the Elk Mound club. Guests included people from Neillsville, Eau Claire, Thorp, Greenwood, Owen, Willard and Christie.

The bride, a 1968 Elk Mound High School graduate, attended Wisconsin State University-Eau Claire for one year, and has been employed in the business office of Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire. The groom is a graduate of Neillsville High School and has received a Bachelor of Science and master’s degrees from Wisconsin State University-Eau Claire. He is presently teaching in the Appleton Public Schools.

Mr. and Mrs. Krultz are residing at Lot 212-3800 East Broadway Drive, Appleton.
