Larry was born on June 1, 1951 in Marshfield, the son of Reuben and Winifred (Martens) Hass. He graduated from Colby High School in 1969 and attended North Central Technical College. Larry hauled milk for a year before buying a farm in the Town of Colby in 1972. Last year he celebrated 40 years of farming. Larry loved farming and his last wish of having his crops planted was granted.

He loved working the land, John Deere tractors, tractor pulls, playing cards with the boys, four-wheeling, hunting, June Dairy Breakfasts and could not wait for Packer football. Larry especially loved his family and friends.

He was united in marriage to Marilyn (Bartnik) Luepke in 1973 whom he later divorced and to Pam (Oldham) Hass whom he also divorced.

Larry is survived by his three children: Carrie (Ernie) Kibbel, Spencer, Kimberly Hass, Spencer and Nathan (Jody) Hass, Marshfield; eight grandchildren: Karly and Carson Kibbel, Zachary, Claire, Sarah and Jacob Hass, Kayla and Victoria Cram; his mother, Winifred Herrmann, Abbotsford. He is further survived by his two sisters: Jane (David) Pescinski and Lois (Jeff) Fischer, both of Colby; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Reuben, step-father, Richard Herrmann and a brother, Ronald.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to First United Church of Christ or Ministry Home Care Hospice.
