Florence Converse and Pearl Berg spent the weekend with Mrs. Harold Hiles.

Lue Smith sold 50 acres of his 80 acre tract recently purchased of the Hanner's estate, to Fred Jacobi, last Friday.

The gust Bergeman family went to Black Creek Monday to spend Christmas with Mrs. Bergeman's mother, at that place.

Mr. and Mrs. T.F. Lee and Ara Lee and family ate Christmas dinner at Ernest Lee's.

Mrs. Amelia Converse and Florence spent Christmas day with the Leo Chapel family.

Leona Downer came home from the Marshfield hospital Saturday and is rapidly convalescing from her recent operation.

Mary Kempin is at Otto Yordi's looking after the household while Mrs. Yordi is recovering from her operation.

Mrs. L.N. Jansen and Frank Jahr assisted the school teacher in canvassing the district for Red Cross members. Webb Winn and Principal White worked in the Granton district.

School closed Friday for a two week vacation. The Christmas tree and box social was well patronized.

Hugh and Clay Converse were Neillsville visitors Saturday.

H. Banner has been laid up with the grippe for several days.

The Knitting Club met with Mrs. Fred Handke last Thursday. Mrs. Downer sent a fresh supply of yarn to keep the needles bright. The next meeting will be with Mrs. T.F. Lee on Jan. 3rd.
