Ellingson, Vern V. (28 JAN 1901 - 26 APR 1965)
Funeral services will
be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church in Wausau for
Vernie Ellingson, 64, Merrill, route 5, formerly of the town of Deer Creek. The
Rev. David Buzza will be the officiating clergyman and burial will be in
Restlawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Ellingson was pronounced dead on arrival
about 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 26, 1965, at a Wausau Hospital. He had been in ill
health for the past two years.
Vernie Ellingson was born Jan. 28, 1901 in
the town Deer Creek and lived there until after his marriage, which took place
in 1930 to the former Irene Ames of the Athens area. He farmed in the town of
Deer Creek, Abbotsford, Wausau and Merrill areas and had been living about the
past twenty years at route 5, Wausau.
Surviving, along with his wife, are
two daughters, Charlotte, Mrs. Harold Davis, Merrill, and Lulu Jean, Mrs. Bruce
Tews, Tucson, Ariz.; four grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Elsie Ellingson,
Merrill; one brother, Clifford, Stetsonville; three sisters, Esther, Mrs.
Reinhard Raasch, Stetsonville, Gladys, Mrs. Fred Doberstein, Withee, and Pearl,
Mrs. Frank Drabek of Catawba.
