Joseph Holub (4
December 1908 - 6 October 1969)
Joseph Holub, 60, Rt. 2 Alma Center, died
Monday night, October 6, 1969, at his farm home.
When Mr. Holub failed to
come in from the barn after evening chores, his wife went looking for him and
found his body near the barn door. He had been in semi-retirement several years
due to a heart ailment.
He was born in Chicago December 4, 1908, and
moved to Neillsville with his parents as a child. He later moved to the Alma
Center area.
Services were at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Alma Center
Methodist Church, the Rev. Calvin Carey officiating. Burial was in the East Lawn
Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred; two sons, Ronald, who is in
the armed forces in Germany, and Leonard of Janesville; seven daughters, Mrs.
Delores Kernz, Loretta and Barbara Holub of Waunakee, Mrs. Ilene Harlicker of
Minneapolis; Mrs. Shirley Aldrich of Neillsville; Mrs. Laverne Jahn of Alma
Center and Kathy, a student at Eau Claire State University; three brothers
Edward and Ervin of Neillsville and George of Greenwood; and a sister, Mrs.
Lillian McCarty of Sauk City.
