Smith, Victor R. (18 September 1896 - 16 November 1969)
Victor R. Smith, 73, of Bethesda, Md., and former Neillsville resident, died
there Sunday. A memorial service will be held today (Thursday) at 11 o’clock
from the united Methodist Church in Neillsville, with the Rev. William Dushek
officiating. Burial will be made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Mr.
Smith was born September 18, 1896, in Wisconsin, where he received his
education. He was married in 1921 in Neillsville to Viletta Suckow, who
survives. He worked as a mechanic in a garage and operated his own garage in
Highland, Ind., before retiring, when he made his home with his son and
daughter-in-law in Maryland.
Survivors include a son, Gorden, of
Bethesda, Md.; two brothers, Edward of Central City, Ia., and Herbert of Stevens
Point; and three grandchildren.
The Georgas Funeral Home is in charge of
arrangements.
