Buss, Linda T. (29 January 1921 - 16 June 2013)
Linda T.
Buss, age 92, formerly of Owen, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2013, at
Oakbrook Health and Rehab in thorp. A memorial service will be held at 11:00
a.m. on Saturday June 22, 2013, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Withee.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the
church. The Rev. Tom Myhre will officiate. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery
in Withee. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen is serving the family.
Linda was born on January 29, 1921, in town of Worden, Clark County, the
daughter of William and Susan (Clerf) Huberty. She worked at Blue Moon Cheese
before her marriage. On June 30, 1945 Linda was united in marriage to Bernard
Buss in the Town of Reseburg. He preceded her in death on March 17, 2005.
Together they farmed in the Town of Reseburg until retiring in 1976. After
retirement, they moved to Owen and then back to Thorp in 2003. She has resided
at Oakbrook Health and Rehab the past six years.
Linda was a member of
St. John’s Lutheran Church in Withee. She enjoyed baking, cooking, embroidery,
shopping trips and dining at Olive Garden. Most especially, Linda loved spending
time with her family and grandchildren.
Linda is survived by her
children: Bill (Judy) Buss, Thorp, Jim (Karen) Buss, Cottage Grove, MN, Marvin
Buss, Thorp, and Sandy Buss, Roberts; her daughter-in-law, Mary Buss,
Oconomowoc; eight grandchildren: Chris (Caryn) Buss, Shannon (Diana) Buss, Dan
(Jaime) Buss, Mike Buss and Andy (Sara) Buss; eight great-grandchildren: Dylan,
Mike, Alyssa, Rylee, Drew, James, Owen and Izaak. She is further survived by a
sister-in-law, Ruby Buss, Thorp, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Don Buss; an
infant daughter; two brothers: Albert and Paul Huberty; and a sister, Verona
Berdal.
