Mr. and Mrs.
Becker, of Bennington, N.Y., who have been visiting at the home of A.G. Miller,
have gone to River Falls.
G.W. Crandell and wife and Chas. Leykum and
wife drove over from Antigo Saturday for a few days visit with the former’s
relatives here.
Mrs. Johnson and babe, who have been visiting her
parents, left Wednesday noon for their home at Bottineau, N.D. Mr. Babler
accompanied them as far as the Twin Cities.
Wednesday evening a party was
given in Roy Washburn’s honor at the Washburn home west of town, at which a
goodly portion of the young people gathered and report a pleasant time.
A
wedding took place at the home of H.W. Stallard Wednesday evening when their
daughter Ethel was united in marriage to Ira T. Sherwin, of Black River Falls,
Rev. Haskell officiating.
The twenty-two year-old son of Mr. and Mrs.
Dell Murray, died Monday and was buried Tuesday afternoon in the town of Mentor
cemetery, Rev. Hills conducting the services.
