Wittren, August Sr. ( – 14 Oct 1906)

Died on Sunday morning Oct. 14th, at the home of his son, August Jr., August Wittren, Sr., at the advanced age of eighty years. His death was very sudden as he was apparently in his usual health when he retired Saturday evening.

Mr. Wittren came from Germany fourteen years ago, since which time he has resided on a farm about a mile north of the village. He leaves a wife and five children, three of whom ar in Portland, Ore., and unable to be present at the funeral services which were conducted at the house yesterday, by Rev. F.J. Bryan. Internment was made in the village cemetery.
