Fisntad, Throne (1852 – 20 Oct 1906)
Died Thursday, October 20, of
tuberculosis, Throne Finstad, aged 54 years. Throne C. Finstad was born in
Stange Hedemarken, Norway in 1852 coming to this country almost 23 years ago.
The last sixteen years he has resided in Fairchild, being in the employ of the
Foster Lumber Mill Co as carpenter.
In 1905 (?) he married a second wife,
Miss Marie Ludrebo, of Pigeon Falls, to whom five children were born, all of
whom survive him. He also leaves four others, children of his first wife. Mr
Finstad has been ill for over two years, during which time he has been a great
sufferer from tuberculosis of the bone being obliged to undergo the amputation
of an arm a year ago.
He was a highly respected citizen and a member of
the local M.W.A. in which he carried a $3000 insurance. Funeral services, Rev.
F.J. Brvag officiating, was held at Osseo Sunday where internment was made.
