Quiet Wedding at M.E.
Parsonage – Reception at Home
At 7:30 o’clock, Saturday evening, Dec. 1,
1906 at the M.E. parsonage, Miss Lula Mande Marvin was united in marriage to Mr.
Arthur Henry Shaw. Rev. F.J. Bryan, pastor of the M.E. Church pronouncing the
words that made the couple one. They were attended by Miss Jeanette Raymond and
Mr. Roy Norris.
Immediately after the ceremony the wedding party was
driven to the home of the bride’s parents; Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Marvin, where an
elaborate supper was served to a few intimate friends. Numerous presents were
received.
The contracting parties are both well and favorable known. The
bride has resided in Fairchild all her life, having been employed in the
Observer office the past three years. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E.L.
Shaw. They will reside on the Young farm one mile west of the village where they
will be at home to their friends, who wish for them a happy married life.
