Mrs. Ed Pfeiffer returned home Saturday.
The district school in this
vicinity closed Friday for this year.
Mr. Goeke has improved his place by
having lightning rods put on his building.
Mrs. Fred Kuester was
surprised by her friends and neighbors on Saturday night, who had come to help
celebrate her birthday. The evening was spent by playing cards and stepping the
light fantastic. Everybody reported a good time.
Mr. Henry Decker and
crew are framing Mr. Fred Braun's barn.
Mr. Fred Kuehn is having the
foundation laid for a house and barn. Mr. Edwin Decker is doing the mason work.
And mind you boys, Mr. Kuehn believes in a good job. He provides his men with
plenty of refreshments.
