Ystad, Julia (11 JUN
1912)
Tuesday morning, June 11th, 1912, at 10 o'clock, at St. Mary's
Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Boeckmann united in the holy bond of matrimony, Joseph
Hecker and Miss Julia Ystad. They were attended by Mr. Mathew Hineson of St.
Nazianz, a cousin of the groom, as best man, and Miss Florence Hecker of St.
Nazianz, a sister of the groom, as bridesmaid.
The ceremony was witnessed
by about twenty-five relatives and friends of the contracting parties.
Mr. Hecker is a respected young farmer of the town of Beaver (Clark Co., Wis.).
He came here about three years ago and purchased the old Wm. Degner farm, which
he has since worked and made a home for his bride.
The bride is a
charming young lady, the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Ystad, a respected
family that has lived northeast of this city for nearly twenty-five years.
After the wedding the party went to the bride's home where a most beautiful
repast was served. In the evening dance and music was the order until a late
hour.
Mr. and Mrs. Hecker have the best wishes of a host of friends for a
long and happy wedded life.
