Godec, Gertrude B. (11 May 1911
- 16 November 1969)
Funeral services were held last week Wednesday
morning from Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Marshfield for Mrs. Joseph J.
Godec, 58, who died of a heart ailment Sunday. The Rev. Peter J. Leketas, pastor
of the church, officiated and burial was made in the Holy Family Cemetery at
Willard. The Rev. Michael Mertens conducted the graveside service.
The
former Gertrude B. Bayuk was born at Willard on May 11, 1911, to John and
Balbina (Owan) Bayuk. She was married to Joseph J. Godec on April 25, 1932, in
Milwaukee. They made their home on a farm in Willard until 1949, when they moved
to Marshfield. Mrs. Godec was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the
Christian Mother’s Society, and the Society of Mary of Perpetual Help, K. S. K.
J.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Genett of
Milwaukee and Mrs. Carl (Elaine) Lobner of Wisconsin Rapids; two sons, Edward J.
of Neenah and John at home; 11 grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Rudy Hollman of
New Berlin, Mrs. Ignatz Cesnik of Tucson, Ariz., Mrs. Dorothy Fortuna of Willard
and Mrs. Al Klinke of Greenwood; and five brothers, Edward, William and Joseph
Bayuk all of Willard, Frank Bayuk of Greenwood and Albert Bayuk of Joliet, Ill.
Pallbearers were: Alvin Klinke, Joseph, William, Edward, Frank and Albert
Bayuk.
Those from away attending the service were: Mr. and Mrs. Bernard
Cesnik of Madison; Mrs. William Gradisher, Westchester, Ill.; Mrs. Anna Richter
and Mrs. Caroline Klancher of Milwaukee; Mrs. Kathy Bayuk of Ottawa, Ill.;
Dolores Quast of Kenosha; Mary June Bayuk of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. William
Schmitt, Mrs. Paul Dalay and family and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bayuk, all of
Joliet, Ill.; Mrs. Ignatz Cesnik of Tucson, Ariz.; Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Hollman of
new Berlin, and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Klinke of Greenwood.
