Dolence, Frances (19 March
1884 - 22 November 1969)
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning from
the Hill Funeral Home in Greenwood and at 10 a.m. from the Holy Family Catholic
Church in Willard for Mrs. Frances Dolence, 85, who died in Neillsville Saturday
after a lingering illness. The Rev. Michael Mertens officiated and burial was
made in the Holy Family Cemetery.
The former Frances Kavzic was born in
Yugoslavia on March 19, 1884. She came to West Mineral, Kans., in 1906, and was
married there in 1907 to John Dolence. In 1914 they settled on a farm northeast
of Willard and lived there until 1946, when they retired and moved into Willard.
Mr. Dolence died in 1957. Mrs. Dolence continued to live in Willard until
1967, when ill health forced her to move to Memorial Home in Neillsville. She
was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church and the Society of Mary of
Perpetual Help, K. S. K. J.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs.
Anthony (Frances) Bogolin and Mrs. Stanley (Angela) Guzialek, both of Chicago,
Ill., Mrs. John (Anna) Perme of Willard and Mrs. Jenny Celesnik of Milwaukee; a
son, John; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
