Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal
was the setting for the wedding of Miss Carol Myre, Loyal and Walter Luepke,
Adams on Saturday, February 12 at 1 p.m.
The Rev. A.M. Moldenhauer performed the ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and
Mrs. Carl Myre, Loyal, and Mr. and Mrs. Walter C. Luepke, Spencer.
Mr. Myre presented his daughter at the altar which had been decorated
with white calla lilies.
Mrs. Romaine Rossow sang “Wedding
Prayer” and the Rev. Moldenhauer sang “The Lord’s Prayer” accompanied at the
organ by Mrs. Kenneth Voss.
Miss Myre came down the aisle on
the arm of her father attired in a full length wedding gown of French faille, a
bateau neckline with long sleeves coming to a point at the wrist.
A full attoman skirt with the waist being enhanced by set-in cumberbund
embellished with pearls and crystal beads.
She carried white camellias set off with green leaves.
Mrs. Thomas Brussow, Loyal, was
matron of honor, Miss Nancy Myre, Loyal, and Miss Donna Bush, Loyal were
bridesmaids.
The aides wore long scarlet peau
de soie gowns, bell shaped skirts accented with cumberbunds; matching scarlet
floral crowns entwined with seed pearls.
They carried cascade bouquets of red and white carnations.
Orin Toltzman, Spencer, was best
man with groomsmen, Elmer Karau, Merrill, and Bill Beir Jr. of Milwaukee.
Tom Brussow, Loyal, and Donald Luepke, Marshfield, were in charge of
ushering duties.
A reception and dinner was held
at the Colby Hotel, Colby.
The bride is a 1961 graduate of
Loyal High School. She has been
employed at the Marshfield Clinic.
Mr. Luepke is a 1958 graduate of Spencer High School and a designer at “House of
Harmony” Inc. at Adams.
After a honeymoon trip to
Chicago, Illinois the newlyweds will make their home in Friendship.
Wedding guests came from Spencer,
Marshfield, Wausau, Minneapolis, Minnesota; Chippewa Falls, Merrill, Appleton,
Eau Claire, Milwaukee, Addison, Illinois; Friendship, Athens, Wauwatosa and
Janesville.
