Miss Sharon Rose Younker,
Marshfield and Ronald Franklin Rueth, Loyal repeated wedding vows July 5, with
the Very Rev. Norbert E. King, pastor of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Loyal
officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and
Mrs. Rudolph Younker, Norwood, Minnesota and Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Rueth, route
1, Loyal.
Assorted arrangements of Gladioli
were placed on the church altar for the ceremony during which the choir sand and
Mrs. Trnka played the organ.
The bride wore a white gown of
satin with a rounded neckline, semi-sheath skirt and train attached to the
waistline. Her headpiece was a satin
pillbox to which was secured a veil.
She carried a bouquet of red roses.
Mrs. Verlyn Pockrandt, Loyal was
the matron of honor, Mrs. Larry Rueth and Miss Audrey Olsen, also of Loyal, the
bridesmaids.
The aides wore apricot peau de
soie semi-sheaths with bustle bows at the back waistlines and with matching
headpieces.
The flower girls, Diane
Pockrandt, Loyal and Brenda Brandt, Greenwood were attired as miniature replicas
of the bride.
Attending the groom as best man
was Verlyn Pockrandt, Loyal; groomsmen were Larry Rueth and Tom Elsinger both of
Loyal; Dennis Younker, Norwood, Minnesota and John Rueth, Loyal were the ushers.
Wedding guests came from Medford,
Spencer, Abbotsford, Greenwood, Dorchester, Marshfield, Park Falls, Green Bay,
Milwaukee, Colby, Wausau, Hawkins, Shawano, Thorp, Stratford, Pittsville, Loyal
and from the states of Minnesota and Illinois.
A wedding reception was held at
the home of the bride’s brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Verlyn
Pockrandt, Loyal. The supper was
served at St. Anthony’s Hall, Loyal.
The bride is a 1962 graduate of Abbotsford High School and has been employed at Karau’s Super Market, Marshfield. The groom is a 1963 graduate of Loyal High School and works for Spencer Sports Products, Spencer. After a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin the couple will be home to their friends at 311 S. Vine Ave., Marshfield.
