Miss Karen Rose Roberts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Roberts, Rt. 1, Loyal, was given in marriage by her father, to George Martin Brenner Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. George Brenner, Rt. 1, Loyal, at a ceremony performed by the Rev. Jerome V. Wohfiel of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church-South Green Grove on May 23, at 2 p.m.

The soloist, Miss Donna Ehrenreich, Abbotsford, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Calvin Schultz, Owen, sang “The Lord’s Prayer” and “O Perfect Love.”

When the bride entered the church, escorted by her father, she was wearing an elegant floor length bridal gown made of sata peau over bridal bouquet taffeta, featuring a scoop neckline, long sleeves and separate empire style bodice. The sheath front with unpressed pleated back to create overskirt fullness was topped with a bow. Re-embroidered chantilly lace was richly appliquéd at an empire bodice. Matching petite lace pillbox pearls, her bridal headpiece trimmed with pearls, held her bouffant veil of pure silk imported English illusion. An arm bouquet of 12 long stemmed red roses entwined with wedding ribbon and ivy.

The bridal aides were Miss Marlene E. Brenner, Rt. 1, sister of the groom as maid of honor. Miss Joan Lynn Jaegar, East Cleveland, Ohio, cousin of the bride and Mrs. Renold Lindner, Edgar, a friend of the bride. They were attired in white Peau de front opening tunic overskirts. Fitted bosque waisted princess style bodice of dress featured high front scoop neckline dipping to lowered U-back and elbow length sleeves. Adorning their heads were white peau pillbow headpieces with front bows and halo veils.

Gordon M. Roberts Jr., Rt. 1, Loyal, brother of the bride was the best man, and Clark Mrotk, Rochester, Minnesota, and Renold Lindner, Edgar, were groomsmen while Donald Olsen and Gerald Kronberger, Wisconsin Rapids served as ushers.

A reception was held after the wedding ceremony and a supper was held for the guests at 4:30 at K Korners Supper Club. A supper for the immediate family was held at the church at 4:30.

The bride who was a 1960 graduate of the Loyal High School and a August 1963 graduate of St. Joseph’s School of Nursing. She is now employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Her husband is a 1956 graduate of Loyal High School and is employed by Seeman’s LP Gas and Oil of Loyal.

Their honeymoon took them to the east coast and Florida and upon their return, will reside at rural Loyal.

Guests for the wedding came from Rochester, Minnesota; Cleveland, Ohio; Euclid, Ohio; Trenton, Michigan; Aurora, Illinois; Miami, Florida; Pipe Lake, Minnesota; Milwaukee, Stanley, Thorp, Boyd, Gilman, Greenwood, Willard, Colby, Marshfield, Unity, Owen, Neillsville, Withee, Spencer, Wisconsin Rapids, Edgar, and Loyal.
