Lee, Lt. Eldon K. (Military Notes 1969)
Lt. Eldon K. Lee has received a
discharge from active service in the navy and is at the home of his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Wenzel Lee, in Chili.
Lt. Lee, who graduated from Granton High
School in 1960 and from Wisconsin State University-Platteville in January, 1965,
entered the service in October, 1965 and attended Officers’ Candidate School at
Newport, R. I. After receiving his commission as an ensign in March, 1966, he
was sent to Civil Engineer Corps Officers’ school at Port Hueneme, Cal., and
then to Mobile Construction Battalion 40’s Home Port at Davisville, R. I. He was
with them for two tours in Vietnam, and in November, 1968, was transferred to
Naval Schools, construction, in Port Hueneme, Cal., where he was stationed until
his discharge.
