Tuesday morning John D. Carl
left by plane from Marshfield for a return trip to his home in El Paso, Tex.,
after spending several days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Carl, in the
Town of Washburn. Dennis Carl of Chicago, Ill., and Alan Carl of Kenosha, spent
from Thursday until Sunday visiting their parents and brother.
Mrs. Glen
Lezotte is a patient at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, where she was taken
following a car accident east of Loyal Friday afternoon. Mrs. Lezotte suffered a
fractured arm, two fractured ribs and an injured back when the car driven by her
husband skidded on an icy spot and overturned in a ditch on Highway 98.
Thursday, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Howard drove to Milwaukee where they had dinner with
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mazola, then went to the home of their daughter and husband,
Mr. and Mrs. John Mazola, Jr., and family. Enroute home, they spent Saturday
night and Sunday in Wauwatosa with another daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Al
Neumann. They returned home later Sunday afternoon and Mrs. Howard’s father,
Richard Hagedorn, spent the evening with them.
Mrs. Vivian Hagie returned
Saturday from a week’s visit with her son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hagie,
and daughter, Sandra in Oshkosh.
Ed Voigt returned home last Tuesday
after 10 days as a patient in Memorial Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Gene
Calkins and family returned Monday to their home in Janesville after spending
Thanksgiving weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Shaw.
Tuesday
night, Mrs. Gretchen Anderson, her son Wilbur and Bernard Eagle, visited Mr. and
Mrs. John Gard at Fairchild. Dinner guests Thanksgiving Day other than her son
were Mr. and Mrs. Roger Lowery and family of Burn, Wyo.
Dinner guests of
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Maegdefessel Thanksgiving Day were Mr. and Mrs. Ed Voigt
and Martin Foss.
Mrs. Michael Flynn and son, Sean, of Wisconsin Rapids,
were guests Thanksgiving Day of her husband’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Flynn.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Cardarelle and son, Ardell, of West Bend spent Tuesday
and Wednesday visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Wren, and her sisters,
Helen and Mrs. Ernest Karnitz. Mr. Wren had just returned from Memorial
Hospital, where he had been a patient for a week.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Horn
of Loyal were guests Sunday night of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Lawrence.
Mr.
and Mrs. Jon Karnitz of Wisconsin Rapids were weekend guests of his mother, Mrs.
Ernest Karnitz.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Anderson of La Crosse, Mr. and Mrs.
Victor Elmhorst and David Anderson and daughter, Donna, of Granton, were guests
of Mrs. Elmer Anderson Thanksgiving Day.
Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Neidner and
children, Polly, Peter and Phillip, of Mequon, and their American Field Student
daughter, Essie Simpson of Accra, Ghana, visited from Thursday until Saturday
with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan W. Luscher.
Mr. and Mrs. Gary Nelson
of Middleton and her brother, Gary Buchsteiner of Watertown, visited Friday and
Saturday with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Meihak.
