Mrs. Vera Hales was a recent guest of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest
Baughman in Greenwood.
Mrs. Newell and daughter, Mrs. Holyrod of Mobile,
Ill., visited recently with Mrs. Bert Hayden.
Mr. and Mrs. Frederick
Elmhorst entertained Mr. and Mrs. Robert Elmhorst and family and Mrs. Theodore
Riedel At dinner recently.
Recent overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Donald
Scharf were Mrs. Carl Scheeler and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Scheeler of Cazenovia,
who had come to attend the wedding reception of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Elmhorst in
Neillsville.
Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Sternitzky were her
father, Ed Kalsow, and Charles Korth of Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Klauer and
Martha Hoffman of Neillsville; and Mrs. Ed Schlinsog of Chili.
Mrs. Norma
Jaenicke and Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Jaenicke and family of Kankakee, Ill., called
on Mrs. Lloyd Spry recently.
Guests recently of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Helm
were Mr. and Mrs. Sammy Seefeldt and daughters, Kathy and Linda, of Melrose;
Donald Helm of Marion; Mrs. Lillian Marg of Neillsville; and Mr. and Mrs. Roger
Helm and family of Granton.
Herbert Hohenstein and son, Dean Hickey,
have returned to Rockford, Ill., after spending several days with his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Ollie Poler. Thanksgiving the four of them had supper with the
Polers’ daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Fields of Granton.
Mr.
and Mrs. Carl Bladl of Green Lake called on Mr. and Mrs. Ollie Poler one day
last week. They had been called here by the death of their grandson, Scott
Wesenberg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Wesenberg.
The Granton Busy Bee
Homemakers held their annual Christmas Party last Thursday evening at Bali Hai
supper club.
The Granton Band Mothers held their Christmas Meeting
Monday night, December 8, at 8 p.m. Each member brought six Christmas cookies
and an article for the blind auction.
