Drake, Allie (24 Dec 1888-20 June

Funeral services were held at 1:oo p.m., Monday, Jue 23, from the
Myre Funeral Home for Mr. Allie G. Drake, 75, who passed away Saturday at 2:00
a.m. at the Harvest Nursing Home in Owen. The cause of his death was a stroke.
The officiating clergyman was Rev. A. Moldenhauer and burial was in the
Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Drake was born December 24, 1888 in the town of
Unity. He was married to Tillie Dyer. He moved to Loyal in 1919 where he drove
truck and school bus. About four years ago he made his home at Greenwood Old
Folks Home and last year he went to the Harvest Nursinf Home at Owen.
He
is survived by two sons, Glenn, Baraboo; and Verland, Muskegan, Michigan; one
daughter Elaine (Mrs. William Cornwall) Kelso, Washington. He is also survived
by five grandchildren.
Active pallbearers were Hugo Stutte, Duane Stutte,
Terry Stutte, Hugh Darton, Neil Johnson and Kenneth Dyre.
Those from out
of town who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Drake, Baraboo; Mr. and
Mrs. Verland, Muskegan, Michigan; and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Dyer.
