Greenwood Gleaner (Greenwood, Clark Co., Wis.) 23 Jan 1913
Chet
Williamson came down from Stillwater and expects to work in the mill here for
Jordan and Griffin this winter.
Our townsman F.M. Smith joined the
Klondike party at Loyal Monday and will seek his fortune in that far away wild
and frozen country.
Bills are out for the annual Band concert which will
occur Jan. 28. This band has become so well known that they need none of our
puffing. They do their own blowing, and it takes well too. Reserved seats on
sale as usual.
Mrs. Paul Rossman and grandson Roy will leave tomorrow for
Butternut and Iron River, where they will visit for several weeks. Mrs. Frank
Zetsche will accompany them.
Baxter Marvin and Charley Seyler were
somewhat hurt while coasting down the Black River Hill Tuesday evening. Marvin
was struck in the back and had to be carried home on a stretcher.
S.H.
Butcher is making preparation to go to Klondike-ward. He has hired out for a
hundred dollars per month and all expenses paid, with return fare. The party he
goes with will start Feb. 10.
A railroad bicycle was captured by Agent
Barlow and locked up in the depot Tuesday.
