Harvey, Jane (Marriage - 3 January 1970)
First portion of this marriage
was missing on my pages, but by reading some Neillsville news excerpts, I found
a clue to who’s wedding, but sorry we are missing, where it took place and who
the minister was and who the parents of the couple were and all about the
bride’s wedding gown. But I will give you what I have. Sorry!
Miss Laura
Rezab of Mason City, Ia., served as maid-of-honor. Mrs. Cheryl Kienzle of
Marshfield, sister of the bride, Miss Becky Slaats of Cuba City, sister of the
groom, and Miss Carol Feig of Madison, were bridesmaids. The attendants wore
floor-length gowns of plum velvet, styled with standup collars of white lace,
elbow-length sleeves and high waists banded in white lace. Each carried a large
lavender ‘mum.
Jack Guler of Platteville was bestman. Groomsmen were
Glen Slaats of La Crosse, brother of the groom; Tim Harvey of Neillsville and
Forest Grove, Ore., brother of the bride; and Dave Lucas of Wisconsin Dells.
Ushers were Mike Slaats of Cuba City, brother of the groom; and Mike Kerr of
Chicago, Ill.
“Theme from Romeo and Juliet” was sung by Greg Kienzle of
Marshfield, who was accompanied at the organ by Miss Eileen Zank.
About
150 guests attended the wedding reception at Bali Hai supper club.
The
bride, a 1976 Neillsville High School graduate, attended Wisconsin State
University-La Crosse and is employed as assistant manager at the Remembrance
Shop in La Crosse.
The groom, a former Peace Corps volunteer to Ceylon,
is a graduate of Waldorf College in Iowa, and is attending Wisconsin State
University-La Crosse where he is a representative of student government and
representative of united council. He is a member of Alpha Phi Omega fraternity;
student government, and student newspaper.
After a short wedding trip
into northern Minnesota, the couple will reside at 3843 Mormon Coulee Road, La
Crosse.
A news clip of Neillsville local news:

residents of Neillsville were in the city last weekend for the wedding of Jane

Feig of Madison, former Neillsville mayor and banker, his wife and son, Randy,
and daughter, Carol; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas S. Noble of Evanston, Ill.; Mr. and
Mrs. John D. Harvey of Rockford, Ill., their daughter, Mrs. Robert (Pamela)
Spahr of Madison, and their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. David Harvey
of Minneapolis, Minn.
