The Rev. David Logue attended an Evangelism workshop in Stevens Point Tuesday through Thursday.

The Adult Fellowship met Sunday evening in Zion United Church. Bernard Novobielski presided. Sandra Smith showed slides and talked on Ecuador. A lunch was served by Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Wessel and Mr. and Mrs. Ewald Schwarze.

The Women’s Society of Christian Service met Friday afternoon in Grace United Methodist Church. Mrs. Elery Moberg presided. The group will serve the Rotary dinner today (Thursday) at the church. The planning committee includes Mrs. Wilbur Stewart, Mrs. Truman Hill, Mrs. Viv Carteron and Mrs. Glen Drew. Program chairman Mrs. Hill gave a reading, “Conspiracy against children.” Thank you notes were read from servicemen, shut-ins and others who had received gifts from the group at Christmas time. A lunch was served by Mrs. Wilbur Stewart. The next meeting will be held February 6. Hostesses will be Mrs. Viv Carteron and Mrs. Louis Vogel. Films will be shown by Mrs. Fred Hohl.

The Happy Hustlers Homemakers met Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Leona Syth. Mrs. Harlan Brux presided. It was reported three cakes were baked in December for the birthdays of residents at the Clark County Home for the Aged. Hostesses and project lessons were assigned for the coming year. It was announced a meeting of the Red Cross will be held February 22 in Greenwood. A letter was read from Mrs. Ella Gardner o Granton on “What you can do for American prisoners of War.” It was decided to send a membership signed petition to our congressmen and to the North Vietnam delegate in Paris. The lesson on “Leisure, a creative force,” was presented by Mrs. Harlan Brux and Mrs. John Zepaltas. A personal check of these activities is to be handed in before February 1. The next meeting will be held February 12 at the home of Mrs. George Scherer. The Topic, “Attack on Pollution,” will be given by Miss Louise Keiner.
