Thompson, Mr. and
Mrs. Forest (40th - 20 January 1970)
Mr. and Mrs. Forest Thompson of
Neillsville were guests of honor Saturday evening at a dinner at the Silver Dome
Supper Club in celebration of their 40th wedding anniversary. The party was
given by their seven children, all of whom were present.
Mr. Thompson of
Neillsville and Isabelle Skar of Merrillan, were married January 20, 1930, in
Illinois. He was a baker in Neillsville for 45 years, retiring about two years
ago. They have 17 grandchildren.
The children present were: Mr. and Mrs.
David (Dorothy) Bertz, Dennis, Garth, Greg and Joe, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald (Marie)
Henning and Tim, Mrs. Donald (Carol) Ayers, Jim, Jean and Darrel, and Mr. and
Mrs. Glenn Thompson, all of Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Thompson, Brian,
Clyde and June, and Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Thompson and Jeff, all of Rockford,
Ill,; and Charles Thompson, Vickie and Mark of Minneapolis, Minn. Mrs. Charles
Thompson was unable to come because of illness and Mr. Ayers had to work.
Others present were: Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Skar and Margie of Merrillan (Mrs.
Thompson’s brother); Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Ottoson of Fall Creek (Mrs. Thompson’s
sister); Mrs. Gerelda Larsen of Neillsville; Mrs. Laura Thompson of Abbotsford;
Mr. and Mrs. David Sorensen of Madison; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Skar of Black River
Falls; and Miss Pamela Wolf of Loyal.
