Genteman, Sp4 William J. (Military Notes - 1970)
Mr. and Mrs. William
Genteman of the Town of York have received a letter from their daughter-in-law
telling them that their son, Sp4 William J. Genteman, who was suffering from
blood poisoning following a wound received in action in Vietnam, had called her
from a hospital there informing her he was to be transferred to a hospital in
Japan where he would undergo surgery to remove muscle tissue from his leg. He
expects to be returned to the United States by the end of February.
Some
time ago Mrs. Genteman (of York) received a gift from the grandmother of James
Richard Redinger, the medic who took care of Sp. Genteman at the time he was
wounded.
