Rakovec, Delores Jane
(Marriage - 7 February 1970)
Miss Delores Jane Rakovec and Arnold A. Wolf
repeated marriage vows before the altar of the United Methodist Church in Loyal
last Saturday. The Rev. Conrad Michelson officiated at the 1 p.m. service. The
groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wolf of Loyal.
The bride, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. John Rakovec of Rt. 2 Loyal, was given in marriage by her
father. She wore a white gown of hand-clipped scalloped Chantilly lace in empire
lines with a redingote effect over peau with a Watteau scalloped chapel train.
Orange petals and pearls held her elbow-length illusion veil. She carried an
orchid surrounded by white roses and ivy.
Miss Karen Rakovec of Stevens
Point was her sister’s maid-of-honor. Miss Jean Schuette of Curtiss and Mrs.
Raymond (Joyce) Wehe of Loyal, were bridesmaid and matron. They wore identical
floor-length gowns of red satin and white lace with red velvet bows and back
streamers. Matching red velvet bows held their veils. Each carried a nose gay
bouquet with white satin streamers.
Attending the groom were Jerry Wolf
as bestman and James Young and Raymond Wehe as groomsmen. Dennis and Randy Wolf
were ushers.
Mrs. Ray (Julie) Feldt was organist and Mrs. Merlin (Irene)
Gardner was soloist.
Refreshments were served in the church parlors
following the ceremony and a 2 p.m. dinner was served in the church dining room.
An afternoon reception and evening wedding dance were held in the Spencer
municipal hall.
The bride graduated in 1966 from Loyal High School and is
a 1969 graduate of the Jefferson School of Commercial Art, La Crosse. She is
employed in Spencer. The groom is a 1965 graduate of Loyal High School and is
engaged in farming on Rt. 2 Spencer, where the newlyweds will reside.
