Mech, Patricia Ann (Marriage - 14 February 1970)
Wedding vows were
exchanged Saturday by Miss Patricia Ann Mech of Marshfield, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Theodore Mech, and James Lee Raine, son of Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Raine, all
of Neillsville. The Rev. Norman Lindloff performed the 2 p.m. double-ring
ceremony at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
The bride chose an
Edwardian styled bridal gown of peau de soie that featured Venetian lace on the
full length sleeves, cuffs, neck and yoke. A pink satin ribbon encircled the
waist forming a bow in front. Completing the dress was a detachable Watteau
train. Her floor length veil fell from a Camelot styled headpiece of
re-embroidered Alencon lace with seed pearls and pink shaded flowers. She
carried a loose cluster of pink carnations, white hyacinths and red rose buds.
Matron of honor was Mrs. John Kendall, and bridesmaids were Miss Ellen Raine
and Miss Carol Raine all of Neillsville. They were attired in gowns of pink
linen with white Venetian lace trim and matching headpieces of lace and veiling.
Valentine nosegays of white carnations, pink hyacinths and red hearts were
carried by the attendants.
Steve Jake served as bestman and John Raine
and Douglas Heimstead were groomsmen. They are all of Neillsville. Gordon Beyer
of Neillsville and Ernest Sternitzky of Granton ushered.
Brenda Raine,
the miniature bride, was attired in a dress made by Mrs. Dale Teter, cousin of
the bride.
Kendall Smith was soloist and Victor Lehmann provided organ
music. Guests numbering 250 attended the wedding reception held at the Bali Hai
supper club.
After their return from a wedding trip the couple will
reside at 212 North Walnut Avenue, Marshfield.
The bride is a 1966
graduate of Neillsville High School and a 1969 graduate of St. Joseph’s School
of Nursing at Marshfield and is employed at the hospital there. The groom, who
is also a 1966 graduate of Neillsville High School, has employment in the same
city.
