The Willard Social Club surprised Anne Champa
last week Monday night with a Valentine Parry. Fifteen ladies gathered at her
home. They brought all sorts of baked goods, some candy and home-made jelly. The
following were present: Mrs. John Verschay, Mrs. Thurman Craig, Mrs. Frank
Debevec, Mrs. Donald Kirn, Mrs. Kenneth Horn, Jr., Mrs. Steve Plautz, Mrs. Frank
Koschak, Mrs. Kenneth Horn, Sr., Mrs. Louis Matkovich, Mrs. William Bayuk, Mrs.
Edward Bayuk, Mrs. Joseph Bayuk, Mrs. Frank Govek, Mrs. Don McFarlane and Mrs.
Frank Parkel, Jr. After a brief visit with Anne the ladies returned to the home
of their hostess, Mrs. John Verschay, where they visited and had lunch. The next
meeting will be at the home of Mrs. Donald Kirn in March.
Alfonz
Hemersbach is a surgical patient at the hospital in Marshfield since last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Steve Plautz and son, Robert, were dinner guests last Monday at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Plautz.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jeras of
Lyons, Ill., and Mr. and Mrs. tony Tolaney of Stevens Point planned to leave
Wednesday on an extended vacation through the south-western states. Their first
stop will be in Dallas to visit Mrs. Tolaney’s sister, then on to the west
coast.
Mr and Mrs. Paul Klancher visited Mr. and Mrs. Anton Klancher in
Milwaukee last weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Steve Plautz were in Eau Claire last
week Wednesday.
It was cold again a few days last week. Some places the
temperature went as far as 10 degrees below zero.
Mrs. Alvin Kaltinger,
R. N., who is employed in the Marshfield hospital, left Friday as a delegate for
the nurses’ convention to be held in Anaheim, Calif., for a week. She, along
with three nurses from Marshfield, boarded a plane in Chicago, Ill., for
California.
Mrs. Mary Landini helped her grandson, Dominic Landini
celebrate his fifth birthday at the home of his parents, Mr and Mrs. Ralph
Landini and family.
