Miss Vicki Ann Merlak, Loyal
exchanged wedding vows with Terry M. Hoepner, Eau Claire on July 10 at 1p.m. at
St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal.
The Very Rev. Norbert E. King officiated and the church choir under the
direction of Mrs. Edward Trnka provided the music.
Blue and white arrangements of gladiola and carnations adorned the church
altar.
The bride given in marriage by
her father selected a floor length windswept gown of silk sata pearl with its
scoop neckline and cathedral train having embroiderment of olencon lace. Her
finger tip veil was caught on a cluster of calla lilies.
Miss Merlak carried a bouquet of two white orchids surrounded by draping
stephanotis with an entwining rosary.
Miss Sharon Mech, Marshfield, the
maid of honor and Mrs. LeRoy Merlak, Viola, Miss Judy Zettler, Loyal, and Miss
Sandra Mech, Marshfield, the bridesmaids.
The aides were seen in frocks
featuring bodices with empire waistlines and scoop necklines in sky blue crepe
and white straight skirts. They each
carried a bouquet of blue and white Fuji mums.
The flower girls were Lynette
Merlak and Lisa Merlak both of Viola.
Attending the groom were George
Hoepner, Eau Claire, as best man; LeRoy Merlak, Viola, Jack Morzinski,
Marshfield and Dennis Hoepner, Eau Claire, as groomsmen; and Bill O’Black, Loyal
and Steve Eklund, Eau Claire, as ushers.
The wedding reception was held at
2:30 p.m. at Braun’s Bar and Bowl, Loyal and a dinner at 5 p.m. was served at
the church hall.
The new Mrs. Hoepner was
graduated from Loyal High School with the class of 1963 and attended the
Accredited Schools of Beauty Culture, Eau Claire and graduated in 1964 from
there. The bride is employed at “My
Fair Lady” Beauty Salon, Eau Claire.
The groom graduated from Memorial
High School with the class of 1962.
He attended Eau Claire Technical Institute and graduated this past spring.
He is employed as an electrical engineer at Fabri-Tek, Eau Claire.
After a wedding trip to Canada
the couple will be making their new home in Eau Claire.
