Brenner, Marlene Ellen (31 JUL 1965)

St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal was the scene of the wedding of Miss Marlene Ellen Brenner, Loyal and Roy Charles Ashbeck, Auburndale.  Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. George Brenner Loyal, and Mr. and Mrs. Edward L. Ashbeck, Auburndale.

Father Norbert King officiated at the 1 p.m. ceremony, Saturday, July 31 and the choir and Miss Kathy Denk, Soloist, provided the music.  White gladiola and blue carnations decorated the church altar.

The bride given in marriage by her father wore a floor length gown of sheer organza over taffeta, styled with a midriff of Alencon lace and long traditional tapered sleeves.  The slim bell skirt featured a detachable panel at the back, cascading into a chapel train.  Her matching lace pillbox bridal headpiece was trimmed with pearls and held her bouffant veil of imported silk English illusion.  She carried a cascade arrangement of white roses with green ivy and green leaves.

Mrs. Barbara Lynskey, Minneapolis, Minnesota was the matron of honor and the bridesmaids were Miss Carol Ashbeck, Auburndale, and Miss Judy Brenner, Thorp.  The aides wore floor length dresses of chiffon over taffeta in Azure blue, styled with scoop necklines and elbow length sleeves.  A satin midriff complimented the bell skirt.  A bouffant bustle veil was secured to a cloche of petals.  They each carried a cascade arrangement of white carnations with green ivy and green leaves.

Jim Ashbeck, Auburndale served as the best man and groomsmen were Robert Aschenbrenner of Marshfield and John Lynskey of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Jim Brandl, Rudolph and Clyde Krupa, Cornell ushered the guests coming from Loyal, Greenwood, Spencer, Marshfield, Auburndale, Neillsville, Thorp, Stanley, Gilman, Bloomer, Cornell, Milwaukee, Rudolph, Wisconsin Rapids, Unity, Blenker, Milladore, Junction City, Boyd, Medofrd, Madison, Minneapolis, Minnesota and from the states of Florida and California.

A reception and dinner was held at K Corners, Loyal and a wedding dance at the Silver Dome.

The bride is a 1963 graduate of Loyal High School and is employed at General Motors Acceptance Corp., Green Bay.  Her husband is a 1961 graduate of Auburndale High School and is employed by Woolworth Co., Green Bay.  The couple will reside at 816B N. Ashland, Green Bay.
