Morgal, Margaret (11 June 1880 - 25 February 1970)
Mrs. Frank Morgal, 89, of Willard, died February 25 in Neillsville, where she
had been a hospital patient following a stroke.
Mrs. Morgal, the former
Margaret Plutt, was born June 11, 1880 in Yugoslavia. She came to America in
1901. She was married in October, 1902, in Ely, Minn., to Frank Morgal. He died
on July 9, 1954. They farmed in Ely, Minn., until 1908 and then in Albany,
Minn., until they moved to Willard in 1913. Mrs. Morgal was a member of the Holy
Family Catholic Church, the Altar Society and the American Slovenian Catholic
Union Lodge.
She is survived by a son, Frank Morgal of Willard; four
daughters, Mrs. Alvin (Mary) Ehlers of Greenwood, Miss Emily Morgal of Chicago,
and the Misses Margaret and Amy Morgal at home; three grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held February 28, at 9:30 a.m.
at the Hill Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. from the Holy Family Catholic Church
in Willard. The Rev. Michael Mertens officiated. Burial was made in the Holy
Family Cemetery.
