Carpenter Geo. J. Schmidt secured the
contract let on Saturday last for the erection of the addition to the Thorp
Dairy Co.'s creamery to be used for a cheese factory and residence. The new
building will be frame covered with iron, 26 x 46 feet in size, and two stories
high. Work on the structure will begin as soon as the stone wall can be built
for the foundation.
A number of farmers in the southeast part of the town
of Reseburg are forming a stock company for the purpose of erecting a cheese
factory. The new concern will incorporate under the state law and will no doubt
do a flourishing business from the start. Arrangements for building at once are
already underway. The name selected for the new concern is "The Reseburg Cheese
Co.," and 200 shares of stock at $10 per share will comprise the capital stock.
The factory will be located on the corner occupied by P.E. Bobb's sawmill.
