Ehlert, August (6 March 1887 - 10 March 1970)

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal for August Ehlert, 83, native of the Loyal area who died Tuesday in Neillsville. The Rev. William Humlie will be in charge. Burial will be made in the Pine Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Ehlert was born March 6, 1887, and raised on a farm in Loyal Township, and resided there until 1946, when he retired and moved into the City of Loyal. He was a resident of Memorial Home in Neillsville for four years preceding his death. Mr. Ehlert received his formal education in the rural schools of the Loyal area.

Surviving are two brothers, John of Oconomowoc, and Julius of Loyal.

The body will lie in state at the Roycraft Funeral Home in Loyal at noon today (Thursday).
