Ruby E. France, 82, Rothschild, died Saturday, July 6, 2013 under the care of Aseracare Hospice at Wausau Manor.

She was born July 13, 1930 in Abbotsford, daughter of the late Roy and Susan (Schmirler) Merwin. On October 21, 1950 she married Marvin Feit at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Wausau.

He preceded her in death April of 1964. She then married Elmer France on September 6, 1969 at St. Mark Catholic Church, Rothschild. He also preceded her in death on July 7, 2012.

Ruby was proud to be a homemaker and cherished the ability to stay at home and raise her children. As a young family Ruby and her children loved to go camping and later on in life she turned that passion into traveling throughout the world and saw many wonderful sites along the way. Ruby was a charter member of the Rothschild Urbanaires Snowmobile Club and a member of the Dorcas Circle at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Wausau. As often as she could she loved quilting for the church and also spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Linda Salzman, Weston, Ronald (Kim) Feit, Rothschild, Diane (Hugh) Jones, Rhinelander, Gary (Nancy) France, Wausau, Susan (Ken) Fabel, Schofield, Lori (Lance) Lyon, Wausau, Lois (James) Nieslowski, Kronenwetter, 23 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one step son, Gerald France, two grandchildren, Brandon Feit and Jamie Nieslowski and her siblings, Valerie, Lillian, Margaret, Marjorie, George, Aaron, Archie, Leland and Ralph.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Wausau. Vicar Tammy Barthels will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Ruby's name.

Ruby's family would like to thank all of mom's caregivers over the past seven years. She loved you all, and appreciated your tender care and compassion.

Mama you can now "WALK" into your heavenly Father's arms. You are a beautiful, wise, Godly woman who has touched the hearts of many…….. Until we meet again, We Love You!
