Frane, Irene G. (Voge) (17 JUL 1921 - 30 JUN 2013)
Irene G. Frane,
Owen, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Sunday, June 30, 2013,
at Appleton Medical Center. She was born July 17, 1921, in Park Falls, daughter
of the late Adolph and Grace (Miller) Voge of Abbotsford.
Irene married
Vincent Frane on June 5, 1940, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Colby. He
preceded her in death on November 15, 2000. She has spent the last several years
living at Rosemore Village Retirement Community in Wild Rose. Irene enjoyed
sewing, knitting, gardening, crafts, playing cards camping and she was a very
competitive bingo player. Irene also loved spending time with her family,
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Irene was a member of the American
Legion Auxiliary, Post #123, and the Homemakers club of Owen.
Survivors
include her five children, Roy Frane of Marshfield, Eugene (Patty) Frane of
Mayville, Waverlee (Tim) Jens of Wild Rose, Terrie (Amy) Frane Bloomingdale,
Jeffrey Frane of Arizona; seven grandchildren, Timothy (Gretchen) Frane, Sherrie
Frane, Jody (Jim) Karrmann, Joel (Lori) Jens, Jennifer (Jason) Barth, Daniel
Frane, Christopher Frane; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Marian Wibben; a
brother, Donald (Shirley) Voge; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Voge and many other
relatives and friends.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents; her
brother, Edward Voge; her brother-in-law, Robert Wibben; and her grandson, Craig
Frane.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 12,
2013, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 415 Third St., Owen, with The Rev. Al
Jakubowski officiating. The visitation will be held at the church from 10:00
a.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Clark
County Humane Society can be made in Irene's name. CCHS, P.O Box 127,
