Richard L. “Dick” Glinski, 84, Stratford, died on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, in the emergency room of Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.

A visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield, at a later date.

Memorials may be designated in his name to the Clark County Humane Society.

Obituary:
Richard L. “Dick” Glinski, 84, Stratford, died on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, in the emergency room of Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.

A visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield, at a later date.

Dick was born on October 14, 1928 in Pulaski, to Louis and Lula (Harding) Glinski. He attended Sacred Heart Parochial School and graduated from Purdy High School, both in Marshfield. He married Arlene M. Meier on February 3, 1951 in Neillsville.

Dick had been a member of the Wisconsin National Guard for several years. He operated a refrigeration business with his father, Louis for many years. He owned and operated Glinski’s (Dick’s) Bar with his wife in March Rapids for 55 years.

Dick had a knack for mechanical design and was always engineering something. He could make things from practically nothing. He scoured the countryside for windmills and repurposed and sold them. He was

also loved being chief farm hand at Radke Dairy, operated by his daughter, Mary and son-in-law, Al.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene and their children, Michael (Lois) Glinski of Marshfield, Patrick (Alice) Glinski of Neillsville, Thomas (Karen Gehler) Glinski of Spencer, Mary (Al) Radke of Stratford, Joann (Bob Genrick) Glinski of Wausau, James (Monica) Glinski of Stratford and Daniel (Jeanne) Glinski of Proctor, MN. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. He is further survived by 2 brothers and a sister, James (Lois) Glinski of Wisconsin Rapids, Donald (Shelly) Glinski of Eau Claire, Karlene (Terry) Durst of Marshfield, and brothers-in-law, LeRoy Wellner of Marshfield and Wayne (Maureen) Meier of Neillsville.

He was predeceased by his parents, a sister in infancy, a sister, Nancy Wellner and a brother, John Glinski.

Memorials may be designated in his name to the Clark County Humane Society.
