Kurasz, Winnifred (30 November 1909 - 23 March 1970)

Mrs. Andrew (Winnifred) Kurasz, 60, of Neillsville, died March 23. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the United Methodist Church with the Rev. William Dushek officiating. Burial was made in the Windfall Cemetery in Granton.

Mrs. Kurasz was born November 30, 1909, to Alden and Julia (Sanborn) Schumaker in Sparta, and received her education in Monroe County. She was married in 1928 in Minnesota to Howard Dayton. They farmed in Monroe County until 1950 when they located in Clark County. Mr. Dayton died in 1962. On March 26, 1966, she was married to Andrew Kurasz at the Neillsville Methodist Church. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Neillsville.

Survivors include her husband; seven children, Mrs. Ralph (Ruby) Frost of Necedah, Mrs. Carl (Donna) Zank of Neillsville, Mrs. Robert (Patricia) Mallory of Rockford, Ill., Earl and Darryl Dayton of Neillsville, and Donald and Robert Dayton of Waupaca; two brothers, Kenneth Schumaker of La Crosse and Clifford Schumaker of Sparta; and 15 grandchildren.
