Anderson, Wanda R. (4 JUL 1926 - 4 JUL 2013)

Wanda R. Anderson, age 87, of Withee, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, surrounded by her loving family. Her funeral service will be 12:00 Noon Monday, July 8, 2013 at Community Alliance Church in Withee. Rev. Dylan Valliere will officiate. A visitation will be held Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church in Withee. Burial will follow the service in the Riverside Cemetery, Withee. Pallbearers will be Jason Mitchell, Chel Boettcher, Dave Hansen, Mathew Anderson, Mark Goessl, Geoff Mueller and Sheldon Anderson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jalayne Goessl, Morgan Mueller, Jennifer Boettcher, Stephanie Hansen, Rhonda Mitchell, Shana Anderson, Jackie Schuknecht, Janell Hughes and Amber Hughes.

Wanda was born July 4, 1926 to Clyde and Clinton (Ortner) Redd in Pitcher, Kansas, she was the oldest of three children. She attended grade school in Columbus Kansas and was a graduate of Joplin High School in Missouri. She made Army/Navy uniforms during high school and after graduation she moved to Wichita, Kansas and worked for Boeing Aircraft as a riveter. Wanda met Bernard Anderson in 1951 in Joplin, Missouri, while he was still in the Army, and married him on October 13, 1952 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, after he returned from Germany. Together they bought a farm and moved to Owen, WI in 1952 and raised 7 children while farming.

Wanda enjoyed cross stitching, sewing and cooking. She was an active member of the Community Alliance Church in Withee.

Wanda is survived by her husband; Bernard of Withee, children; Darrell (Susan) Anderson, Ben (Sue) Anderson, Patricia (Patrick) Hughes, Gloria (Mitch) Mitchell, Roger (Karan) Anderson, Linda Anderson and Marv(friend; Noreen Salzman) Anderson. Grandchildren; Jason (Rhonda) Mitchell, Shana Anderson, Sheldon Anderson, Jalayne (Mark) Goessl, Jennifer (Chel) Boettcher, Stephanie (Dave) Hansen, Jackie (Fred) Schuknecht, Morgan (Geoff) Mueller, Janell Hughes and Amber Hughes, great-grandchildren; Havannah Gospodinoff, Ethan Anderson, Baby Hansen, Lauren Boettcher, Sylvia Boettcher, Emmalee Goessl, Molly Goessl, Madilyn Mueller, Clay Mueller, Mackinley Mueller and Jack Mitchell, step-great-grandchildren; Heidi Haag, Mayna Muenchow and James Muenchow. She is further survived by a brother; Gail (Sharon) Redd.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother; Chester Redd.
