Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday from the Trinity
Lutheran Church, Loyal, for Alvin E. Wolfe. 58, who died Tuesday July 21 at his
home. Mr. Wolfe had been in ill health for the past six months. Funeral
arrangements were in charge of the Myre Funeral Home.
Rev. Arvid
Mythwald, pastor at Greenwood was in charge of the services. Mrs. James
Lauenstein and Mrs. Larry Rueth sang the hymns, “Softly and Tenderly” and “Abide
With Me” accompanied at the organ by Mrs. John A. Olsen. Burial was in the
Lutheran Cemetery at Loyal. Pallbearers were Harry Schlinsog, Arnold Pieper,
Ervin Schmidt, Art Olsen, Allen Luber and Edward Rohloff.
Alvin E.
Wolfe was born in the Town of Beaver, January 28, 1906. He was married at the
Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal to the former Margaret Degen on December 4,
1929. He lived in the town of Beaver all his life where he farmed. Mr. Wolfe was
a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal.
Beside his wife he is
survived by one daughter, Mrs. Edward (Ardith) Domine Jr., Park Falls; and four
sons all at home, Richard, Thomas, Ronald and Robert. He is also survived by
three sisters, Mrs. John (Erna) Fina, Milwaukee; Mrs. Margaret Foelsh, Spencer;
Mrs. Fred (Agnes) Paddon, Milwaukee; and three brothers, Arthur, Spencer;
Milton, Loyal; Paul, Milwaukee. He is also survived by one grandchild, Nancy.
He was preceded in death by one son, Verlyn at the age of 24.

Ernie Collier Jr., Stevens Point; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Seebold, Greenwood. Mr. and
Mrs. Phillip Vollrath, Mrs. Quinten Ervine, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Liebrzelt,
Greenwood; and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Goetz and Nancy Wolfe, Unity.
