Trinity Lutheran Church of Loyal was the setting Saturday, August 1, at 1:30 p.m. when Miss Bonita Sue Nelson became the bride of Erlin Ross Roehl.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Walter Nelson and Mrs. Frieda Roehl, all of Loyal. Mr. Nelson presented his daughter in marriage at a ceremony in which the pastor, Rev. A. M. Moldenhauer officiated.

Baskets of yellow and white chrysanthemums graced the altar. Miss Judy Haslow sang “Oh Perfect Love.” And the Rev. Moldenhauer sang “The Lord’s Prayer.” Miss faith was the organist.

The bride wore a gown of white Chantilly lace fashioned with a fitted bodice and Sabrina neckline enhanced with sequins. The dress had a rose at the front and a chapel sweep in the back. Her double crown headpiece held a fingertip veil and she carried a cascade of red roses and swainsona with white satin leaves.

Miss Julia Ann Vajgrt, Loyal was maid of honor, with Mrs, Lowell Roehl, also of Loyal and Mrs. Dennis Markham, Granton, bridesmaids.

The aides wore blue taffeta street length sheaths styled with over-skirts forming a rose in the front. They were blue rose headpirces with bluish veils and carried crescent shaped bouquets of blue and white carnations and pompoms.

The groom’s attendants were Elgin Roehl, Loyal as the best man, Lowell Roehl, Loyal and Dennis Markham, Granton as groomsmen. Dennis Lee and David Nelson ushered the guests.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents and later a dance at the Silver Dome Ballroom.

The new Mrs. Roehl is a 1963 graduate of the Loyal High School and the groom is a 1960 graduate of Loyal High School.

After a honeymoon trip to Niagara Falls the couple will reside in Milwaukee, where they are both employed, she at Taylor Electric and he by the Cape Construction Co.
