We had a nice rain in
this vicinity last Saturday night. More rain is needed.
Albert Neis had a
valuable horse drop dead on the road last wedn while on the cream route, the
cause was heart trouble.
Mrs. Chris Brick and little daughter started
last Friday to join her husband in Montana where he has taken up a homestead
near Glendive. Mr. and Mrs. Brick will be greatly missed from among us, but we
all wish them success and happiness in their new home.
Mrs. Elmer Brown
and two daughters, Nina and Lucile of Portland, Ore, are here visiting relatives
and friends. At present they are visiting at Brown County, but will visit here
again before returning home.
There was a surprise party on Mrs. Hazel
Brick last Wednesday night at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. Robinson.
Refreshments were served and all had a pleasant time.
Len Shaw had the
end of his little finger taken off in the mowing machine last week.
Mrs.
Will Nutting and two children of Plaza, N.D. are her visiting relatives and
friends.
The Ladies Aid will have an ice cream social at the C.E. Morse
home Saturday night, July 23. Proceeds to go to Rev. Marsh.
Will Hannah's
people entertained company Sunday last.
Chas. Peck and family moved into
Allen Forman's house last Friday.
Edna Kaudy visited Mrs. C. Broker last
Saturday.
Mattie Cole visited at her uncle Ed Gault's in York last
Saturday and Sunday.
